An introduction to Access Ropes

As a first post, we’d like to do a brief introduction about who we are and what we do. We set up Access Ropes in late December 2015 and since then, we’ve been building the site, carefully curating our products and building relationships with our manufacturers.

We want to provide something different – a website that’s easy to navigate, whether on-site or on the go. Our website looks great on mobile, tablet and desktop. We offer flat rate, super fast shipping across the UK and have the capacity to ship globally.

Our range

As you may have noticed, our initial range is limited and focused, we plan to build and develop the products we sell and the services we offer as we respond to the individual requirements of our users. We hope that in the future, Access Ropes will become not just an online store but a resource for rope access professionals, technicians, climbers and hobbyists.

The blog

This blog will feature expert interviews, product announcements, and news relevant to our audience. In the coming weeks we will be sending out a newsletter with our first resources and a couple of exciting new product announcements. We like to network and are active on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Get in touch to let us know what you like or don’t like about the site through our contact form. At this stage, we feel it’s important to respond and adapt to what the people and companies that use our site would like to see. Our brand

We have created the identity for Access Ropes to reflect our approach to safety, reliability and innovation. Design has been placed at the forefront of what we do – we believe it’s important to have a website that is easy to navigate, easy to find technical and safety information and reassuringly secure to purchase from. Our site is SSL secured and we never hold any of your credit card details. We have chosen ©Stripe as our payment gateway for credit and debit cards due to it’s industry leading encryption of credit card details. We don’t store any of your card details on our site – this is all encrypted and held securely on stripe servers. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 – the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. We are currently in the process of registering for VAT – should be complete later this week (starting 10/10/16), apologies for any inconvenience.

Shipping and Returns

We aim to ship next day if we receive your order before 2pm. All of our orders are couriered straight to your door. We know what it means to feel confident about what you buy, so we offer free returns on unused products. See our shipping and returns policy for more details.
