Description
The mainsheet is available in 2 versions – red and yellow. The red version of the sheetline is stronger and slightly heavier than the Lite and is designed for use in heavier breeze. The yellow version of the sheetline is lighter and more responsive, which can be essential in the light wind conditions (under 10 knots). The braid construction allows for excellent grip and lower water absorption.
The yellow Laser Mainsheet was designed by Olympic Gold Medalist Paul Goodison in the build up to his Laser Olympic campaign. Paul needed something that was lightweight and very responsive to suit the light wind conditions in China. At elite level, the finer details can be the difference between first and second and hopefully the sheetline played its part.
Both versions are very responsive rope with good strength and handling. More than capable of lasting the full sailing season. Can be used as a good all rounder on other control lines as well. It is advisable that after every sail the rope should be washed and rinsed with fresh water for help with longevity.
